The City of Roseville in cooperation with Minnesota Commercial Railroad will be replacing five railroad crossings in three locations in Western Roseville. Two locations are on Terminal Road west of St. Croix Street and the other location is on Walnut Street, south of County Road C. Work involves the replacement of the railroad track within the roadway as well as pavement replacement on either side of the tracks.
This project is being funded using Municipal State Aid Funds.
During construction on each railroad crossing, the road will be closed at the railroad crossing for one to two weeks. During this time a detour will be put in place. A map of the proposed work and detours for each phase can be found here.
The first phase of the project will involve the closure of the Walnut Street at the railroad tracks. This road will be closed at the railroad crossing for up to a week beginning May 22. Detours will be set up.
Future work on phase 2 and phase 3 will begin when the previous phase is completed. Advance warnings of the closures will be posted a week in advance.
