Roseville - are you up to a challenge? On April 15, the City of Roseville is planting more than 2,000 native plant and tree seedlings. But we can’t do it without you.
Rally your friends, families, co-workers, and neighbors and help plant a legacy. Roseville is looking for 60 volunteers to help plant trees in Langton Lake Park as part of Roseville’s natural resources renewal project.
Join the team on Saturday, April 15 beginning at 10:00 at Langton Lake Park, 1894 County Road C, Roseville. People of all ages are welcome and will have a role to play. We’ll be planting rain or shine so dress for the weather. Planting will start at 10:00 until finished. Whether you can help for an hour or the day, we appreciate your help.
For the past two years, Roseville staff and volunteers have been working diligently to remove non-native plants and trees, including buckthorn, garlic mustard and Tatarian honeysuckle, from area parks. The goal is to improve wildlife habitat and native cover in city parks. This restoration work will result in changes to the visual character of each park, yielding a woodland understory and shrub layer that is more open and appropriate for the region.
