Whether new to yoga or an experienced yoga practitioner, Roseville Parks and Recreation is offering a class that is just right for you.
Yoga Boot Camp is a combination of Biggest Loser, Amazing Race and Survivor, mixed in with the inner stillness of yoga. It’s a mix of yoga and boot camp that takes fitness to a new level. Classes meet at Central Park Muriel Sahlin Arboretum, 2525 North Dale St. on Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. from June 13 to August 15. No classes July 5 and July 18. Cost is $99.
Sunrise Yoga starts with reaching to the sky and listening to the sounds of nature. Mindful breathing, yoga postures adapted to individual experience levels and meditation will help build strength, flexibility, balance and greater mind-body connection. Classes meet at Central Park Muriel Sahlin Arboretum, 2525 North Dale St. on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:30 a.m. from June 19 to August 21. No class August 14. Cost is $99.
Chair Yoga Monday is a total body workout using breath, meditation and chair postures to align and integrate the mind, body and inner energy. Great for all ages and levels. It does not require any floor work. Classes meet at the Lexington Park Building, 2131 Lexington Ave. on Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to noon from May 13 to July 22. No classes May 27. Cost is $99.
Chair Yoga Thursday emphasizes the Hatha yoga technique of breathing into body sensation and posture. Emphasis is on flexibility, balance and strength. This class helps increase range of motion. Classes meet at the Lexington Park Building, 2131 Lexington Ave. on Thursdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. from May 16 to July 25. No class July 4. Cost is $99.
