The Center for Disease Control (CDC) says along with social distancing and frequent handwashing, wearing a mask is one of the most effective ways to stop the spread of COVID-19.
But what if you don’t have a mask? The Roseville Fire Department can help. Volunteers have been making and donating homemade masks for anyone in need. Firefighters have been collecting the masks, washing them and distributing them.
If you would like a mask, stop in at fire station located at 2701 Lexington Ave. and ask a firefighter for one. If you need a large quantity of masks for your place of business, apartment/condominium, place of worship or any other large group, contact Fire Department Assistant Emily Nelson at Emily.nelson@cityofroseville.com or 651-792-7309 to make arrangements to have masks delivered.
The Fire Department continues to collect masks for distribution. Volunteers can drop off masks in the bin in the Fire Department vestibule.
