The City of Roseville will begin work on the intersection of County Road C2 and Snelling Avenue next week. Work will involve adding a second left turn lane for eastbound County Road C2 to northbound Snelling Avenue to help reduce traffic congestion, particularly during the evening commute. The intersection of Lincoln Drive and County Road C2 will also be modified. In addition to the road work, the watermain under County Road C2 will be replaced.
Work is anticipated to begin on Monday, September 30, and take approximately three (3) weeks to complete. The first phase of the project will involve the watermain replacement. During this time, County Road C2 will be closed for westbound traffic between Lincoln Drive and Snelling Avenue.
The second phase of the project is anticipated to begin on October 7. Crews will install a new median and turn lane. During this time, County Road C2 will be closed to all traffic between Lincoln Drive and Snelling Avenue. Access to businesses will be maintained from Lincoln Drive at all times.
The third phase of the project will involve milling and paving County Road C2 and Lincoln Drive between Terrace Drive and County Road C2. Roads with access to businesses will be open during this phase, but drivers should expect delays.
