New American Outreach

Welcoming New Immigrants
The City of Roseville has organized several programs and activities to welcome new immigrants. These include holding community dialogues at residences, schools and churches, building a new soccer field, donating soccer equipment and hosting lemonade stands among other outreach efforts.
Karen Organization of Minnesota
Police Department was recognized by the Karen Organization of Minnesota (KOM) for their efforts to help Roseville’s newest immigrants settle into the community.

The Karen are refugees, fleeing religious and ethnic persecution from the country of Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. Approximately 7,200 Karen live in the Twin Cities metro area, with the greatest concentration in the east metro area.
